Fun Firsts!

Last night we had a couple of rookies head to their first ever High School Football Game! Kent and Tiana both got to experience High School Football as the Warriors took on the Mavericks. Boy did that bring back some good memories from High School! We used to go to the games, even if we didn't know -- OR CARE! -- what was going on -- it was just a fun place to hang out with friends, be loud and rowdy and have fun!! Tiana and McCaela (also a first timer!) pretty much went for the social aspect, but hey, that's the fun of high school. It really is what the fun of high school is all about. The only time you can just be goofy and really truly get away with it is in school. After graduation, real life sets in and people expect maturity of you the majority of the time! Anyway, it was fun to see all of the school spirit, the cheers that haven't really changed in 21 years (Let's Go! Let's Go! L-E-T-S-G-O! Let's Go!!), the parents rooting for their kids (not just the ones playing on the field, but really all of the kids in the stands, too!), and the excitement about being part of a bigger, positive something! Even the principal and assistant principal were there! And there were also lots of special needs kids being included just as much as everyone else!! Anyway, I'm looking forward to more games and once basketball season starts, you know where I'll be!!! GO WARRIORS!!
