We had a fabulous trip home -- clear, just enough clouds to make the sun not so brutal, no traffic and a stop at STONEHENGE!??! Yes, Washington has it's very own, life-size replica of Stonehenge. Just across the Oregon/Washington border (overlooking the bridge) is a replica of Stonehenge that Sam Hill had erected to honor local World War I soldiers who lost their lives in battle. The project was completed in 1926, I think it was! Pretty cool stuff! The whole area is just beautiful there on the Columbia Gorge. The fall colors were neat, as were the vast miles of clear view. Now, I think my laundry and my bed are calling me. Have a good week!
v., sniffed, sniff·ing, sniffs. 1. To inhale a short, audible breath through the nose, as in smelling something. 2. To use the sense of smell, as in savoring or investigating: sniffed at the jar to see what it held. 3. Informal. To pry; snoop: The reporters came sniffing around for more details. TAKE THE TIME TO SNIFF AROUND! WHO KNOWS WHAT YOU'LL FIND -- IS IT COFFEE? BAKING COOKIES? WORSE?!?!
