Happy Monday Morning to you!! It is sunny today in the traditionally cloudy northwest and so what isn't happy about that! And, despite the slight discomfort, I think there may well still be some endorphins floating around in my body from this weekend's Oktoberfest Half Marathon!
Friday night we had Justin M., Kateen T., and Robert and Tiana L. over to carb-load on German SpƤtzle and Pork Tenderloin Paprika. It was so good and the company was even better! Kateen stayed the night and Tiana came back nice and early on Saturday morning and we drove over the mountain at o'dark:thirty!! A VERY early morning -- and COLD!! Once in Leavenworth we got checked in for the race and went back and sat in the car for a bit longer. Race time came around and we were off like a herd of turtles!! Kateen had a 2 hour goal (and she came soooo close!) whereas Tiana L. and I were feeling pretty good to cross the finish line! We ended up walking most of the route, but still managed to come in at just about exactly 3:12 - a respectable pace of 14:49/mile! There were a few others of our friends who also ran, but a lot of them were in a relay so their times and paces would have been totally different! Our carload (Kateen, Tiana L. and I) had a fun lunch with Justin, Trevan, Jill and Toriana out at a petting zoo/pumpkin patch/country merchantile a ways out of town and then it was back over the mountain! Fun, beautiful day with lots of great conversation and friendship! Next year anyone?!?!
Sunday we had Meeting here at home and then Jolyn and I walked toward the Gospel Meeting for the first time in a really, really long time. She's been and is going to be out of town on a project for awhile so we're really missing our walks together. So that was great to catch up a bit yesterday. Now, it is back to the grind (quite literally for some of us!!) and so here's wishing you a successful week!

Well, I can replace Jolyn and run with you while she is gone, hahahhaa what a joke. But maybe I can catch up with you if you are pushing the double stroller, hahahaaa.
