We spent a very beautiful day at Kent's aunt and uncle's place enjoying a BEAUTIFUL day in the sunshine. Rain had been predicted, but as of right now, 6:00 pm, we haven't seen a drop! It has gotten VERY dark but no moisture yet. Knowing very well that it would be difficult to get a walk in, I ran/walked the 4.1 miles from the main highway to their house. What a glorious way to start the day! As I was walking beside the irrigation ditch, I kept hearing this plopping noise. It was frogs jumping off of the bank and into the water! After the potluck lunch, Kent and I went for a walk to see if I could get some pictures. I also photographed the rust buckets in the neighbor's yard. Sooo cool, those old skeletons!
It was fun to see some of the 2nd cousins together again. I was amazed at the family resemblance I saw between Hannah and Tiana this time. The girls, Laura, Hannah and Tiana all got candy lips and made silly faces.
It was a gorgeous fall day and we'll have some delicious apple cider to take home with us! I can hardly wait to mull it and serve it warm!! More pictures are here.
