Introducing Aimee!
Meet Aimee! She's staying with us for a total of about 10 days. She's here from a community just north of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. After spending the first week of the year in San Francisco and Los Angeles, she traveled with her tour group to the rainy, snowy, cold state of Washington to live with us, her host family, until the 18th (pronounced "aye-deenth"!). Aimee and Tiana have had a lot of fun laughing, making fun of each others speech habits, and just hanging out. Aimee experienced snow for the first time EVER when the group went skiing on Monday. (A huge thanks to my co-worker Kate for letting us borrow her snow clothes!) She would have been able to watch the snow FALL last night had she been awake! Poor kid's been going since she landed and she fell asleep last night at 7:00 and didn't wake up until after I got home from work at 11:00 this morning! Aimee's introduced us to Vegemite. We hope to forget the acquaintance very soon!! Sorry, Aimee!! :) For that, she's not been a much of a fan of pumpkin pie, or nachos with refried beans either, so, I guess it's somewhat fair! "I reckon" that Aimee will have "heaps" of experiences to take home with her in her memory. I hope that we've been able to provide some experiences that will forever remain in her heart. We've really enjoyed having her and we look forward to sharing the next few days with her as well! I'm sure we'll come up with something that hopefully she'll find fun, too! Pictures to come!
