Due to snow...
We bring to you the ancient torture device also known as the manual treadmill! Now who on EARTH would ever beg for one of these for Christmas and beyond that who would ever USE one of these?!?! Ummm... your's truly? Yup, 2 years ago I begged for this $99 bargain, never in my wildest dreams imagining the PAIN this thing could inflict! I have to take as my own the Marine motto that I saw on their shirts at a Toys for Tots run a couple of years ago -- "Pain is just weakness leaving the body". If tonight's snow were to keep up, I'd be one strong mama very soon!!! This Christmas I may ask for a gym membership -- they have treadmills that don't require so much of my quads and glutes!!

Larry is drooling over treadmills on Costco.com--such as one on sale for $599 or something! Personally, I agree with their nickname, "dreadmill!" :)
I have to say, a Costco treadmill for $599 would be EASIER than mine! Mine has no motor, no electric help! But, when I took a "land" walk tonight and did my first big hill, I could tell I've been on the treadmill and that already my legs are stronger! That hill felt like it was flat! Guess that's a plus for the manual treadmill!!
Uhhhhh, are there really still MANUAL tread-
mills out there? I didn't know they even made them anymore...certainly you'd get a very good workout! Been using the elliptical at the gym...seems to be a lot kinder to my knees, but I get to use my arms along with it. Keep up the good work!
i gotta say- i don't even know what a manual dreadmill is, but i don't like how it sounds. if you do get a gym membership for xmas... try the eliptical machine- it's more gentle on the knees. just a friendly suggestion, but of course, do whatever you feel comfy with=)
omiword, i'm such a dork. me & mom are so on the same page here- i didn't even read her comment before i posted that last one. sorry for the double advice.
